Meridian Business Advisors Names Three New Directors

(Reno, NV)- Meridian Business Advisors (MBA), a northern Nevada firm specializing in business valuation, litigation support, forensic accounting, economic analysis, and gaming feasibility studies, announced today that it has named Eugenia Larmore, Michelle L. Salazar and Heather M. Tryon directors. All three most recently served as senior analysts with the firm.

Larmore specializes in financial, fiscal and economic impact analysis for large real estate developments and the gaming industry. Larmore also provides analysis and testimony for the litigation support branch of the company, specializing in economic loss and damages cases including termination, discrimination, injury and lost business profits cases. She has been with the firm for more than six years starting as a university intern.

Larmore graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Science in marketing and international business. She has also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. She is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA). In addition to her role at the firm, Larmore currently serves on the executive board of PackPAWS, a women’s athletic development organization and is a member of the Nevada Women’s Fund, the Institute for Management Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the American Rehabilitation Economics Association.

Tryon has more than 18 years of experience as a CPA. She specializes in business valuation, forensic accounting, litigation support and expert witness testimony for business valuation, fraud and embezzlement, divorce, bankruptcy, and other cases. Her expertise has been applied to many business types and industries.

Tryon earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno. She holds the Certified Public Accountant designation issued by the Nevada State Board of Accountancy and the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. She has held memberships, committee or officer positions in the American Institute of CPAs, the Nevada Society of CPAs, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the Institute of Management Accountants, Western Industrial Nevada, the Chamber of Commerce, The Construction Financial Management Association, the Associated General Contractors and the Washoe County Bar Association.

Salazar’s experience includes several years as a CPA in a large Reno-based Certified Public Accounting firm where she worked in the fields of litigation support, forensic accounting, and business valuation. She supervised the audits and accounting activities for a variety of businesses including various gaming establishments. Her familiarity with many different accounting systems provides a unique ability to understand and work through forensic and business valuation issues.

Salazar graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Science in business administration majoring in accounting. Salazar holds the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation issued by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation issued by the Nevada State Board of Accountancy. She is also accredited in business valuation (ABV) by the American Institute of CPAs, and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
